The Beetle & Wedge Boathouse Restaurant at Moulsford in Oxfordshire are big supporters of Macmillan cancer care. When they heard about the Sophie’s Legacy 2010 challenge they were immediately looking to help and offered to provide champagne for the winners of the mountain triathlon.
Three special bottles have been donated. An Oudinot, a Heidsieck Monopole (reportedly the official champagne of the Titanic – hopefully not an omen for any of our paddlers) and a Billecart Salmon.
So if any further motivation for the teams was necessary they now have it in the form of some fabulous fizz awaiting them to celebrate with.
Our sincere thanks goes to Stephanie and her team at the Beetle & Wedge Boathouse restaurant for this generous support.
